Medicolegal Report

Macclesfield Podiatry have podiatrists who can act as expert witness, we can thereforeprovide a medico-legal court report on request. At Macclesfield Podiatry we have podiatrists who are experts in every specialism of podiatry, including; podopaediatrics, musculoskeletal podiatry, diabetes, podiatric surgery, and trauma.

All written reports at Macclesfield Podiatry are prepared and written by podiatrists who are members of the Society of Chiropodists and Podiatrists, all of whom are registered with the Health Professions Council (HPC). The HPC protects the public, ensuring that all our podiatrists are aware of the latest protocols, research, and treatment methods.

Macclesfield Podiatry will prepare a medico-legal report to give advice on the following:

  • Podiatric treatment required at present and in the future
  • Treatment cost
  • Functional ability (previously, at present, and in the future)
  • Potential for improvement

How much does a medico-legal report cost?

A Podiatric medico-legal report is charged for by the hour. If you would like Macclesfield Podiatry to provide you with a medico-legal report, after your initial request, you will be given a quotation. Report costs include the initial assessment, preparation of the report, and travel costs. The quotation will detail all the costsinvolved in preparing the report.

If you require further podiatric reports, court appearances or meetings, these will also be charged for at an hourly rate.

How to instruct Macclesfield Podiatry

If you would like Macclesfield Podiatry to provide you with a podiatric medico-legal report please email our office at office@macclesfieldpodiatry.co.uk or call 0161 883 0099. Upon initial request we will provide you with a quotation. Before any assessment can take place Macclesfield Podiatry require that you give us instruction either in writing or via email.

How long will the Medico-Legal podiatry report take?

Within two weeks of the initial instruction an assessment will be arranged. The podiatric medico-legal report will then be provided one week after the first assessment. The average timescale from initial instruction to the final report is approximately three weeks.
